PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a weather strip for an automobile surely coming into elastic contact with a front side glass to seal inside/outside a car while reduction of a cost is attained. SOLUTION: This weather strip for an automobile is provided with a mounting base part 1 of almost U-shaped section mounted in a front edge of a rear side glass RG, extension part 2 integrally formed in the mounting base part 1 so as to extend from a car inner side of the mounting base part 1 toward a front side, inner side lip part 3 provided to protrude in a tip end of the extension part 2 to come into elastic contact with a car inner side of a lifting front side glass FG, and a core material 20 buried in the mounting base part 1 and the extension part 2. The core material 20 is constituted by a sheet of steel plate, also its shape is formed along a shape of the mounting base part 1 by curving from its car outer side over to cabin side, further to be almost 180 degrees folded back toward a front side in the cabin side to set an almost h-shaped section along a shape of the extension part 2. |
