PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct an audible sound image position according to a visual field angle, to match the direction of an external object on a visual sense with the sound image direction on the audible feeling and to accurately recognize the object. SOLUTION: In this controller, the sound image is formed in the head by voice based on a head transfer function. A phenomenon that the visual field angle becomes narrower according to vehicle speed and the sound image based on the head transfer function is moved forward is caused during running. The phenomenon is inversely utilized. Namely, a direction correcting table storage part 120 in which the vehicle speed and characteristics of the sound image direction are stored is prepared. When the search direction a making the front direction of an obstacle to zero degree is received from an obstacle detection sensor 190, the search direction α is converted into the sound image direction θ being more expanded direction based on the direction correcting table according to the vehicle speed. The sound image from the rear direction is formed in the head by the head transfer function according to the expanded sound image direction θ. The sound image is sensed in the front direction according to running speed during running. Thus, the front and rear are countervailed to eliminate the direction error between the visual obstacle direction and the audible sound image direction. |
