PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily remove foreign matters and to appropriately execute the data processing of an IC card by installing an opening part where the foreign matters in a card insertion path can be discharged with the insertion of the IC card into the card insertion path in the front of the card insertion direction of the card insertion path. SOLUTION: An opening part 5 is formed in a wall part 2c that is positioned in the front of the card insertion direction of a card insertion path 20 (recessed part 4) and is orthogonal to the card insertion direction and it is made outside a unit main body A. Thus, foreign matters in the card insertion path 20 are discharged from the opening part 5 with the insertion of the IC card into the card insertion path 20 even if the foreign matters of paper invade from the card insertion port 21. Thus, the foreign matters can easily be removed and the IC card can be inserted into a position where the electrode part of the IC card, where data of the IC card can be processed, and the contact terminal 36 of a contact point unit 31 oppose. Then, the data processing of the IC card can appropriately be executed. |
