PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly set a work to a jig body before the work is hardened, or smoothly take out the work from the jig body after the hardening, and to set a plurality of works in horizontal posture at a time to the jig body in a setting work. SOLUTION: In a hardening jig to set a plurality of works 30 in a longitudinally arranged posture when the works 30 of long shaft-like parts having a head part 32 on one end are hardened, a plurality of reception ports 14 capable of inserting the works 30 from the side of the head part 32 are arranged on one single side of a jig body 10, a support plate 20 to receive the head part 32 of each work 30 is disposed on the other side, the sectional shape of a frame member 12 to constitute each reception port 14 is set to be of sectional area as small as possible on the insertion side of the works 30, while the sectional shape is set to be of arc shape of the size so that an expansion part from a shaft part at the head part 32 of the works 30 is not hitched on the support plate 20 side.
