PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the nipping accident and improve the assembling work by constituting a protecting device for covering a cooling fan from a guard consisting of a rough-mesh lattice-like strength member and a fine-mesh guard net for covering the guard. SOLUTION: A guard 5 consisting of a substantially lattice-shaped strength member having a cylindrical part 5a for covering the circumference of a cooling fan 31 and a disc part 5b for covering one surface on an engine 30 side is provided between a radiator 32 and the engine 30. The circumference of the guard 5 is covered with a guard net 6 that is one of attachable and detachable protecting devices. The guard net 6 is formed in a mesh by use of fiber, and the mesh of the net is set small, compared with of the lattice mesh of the guard 5. According to this, the nipping accident to the cooling fan 31 can be prevented. Since the guard net 6 is constituted attachably and detachably, the guard net 6 can be removed and easily cleaned even if dust is adhered thereto.
