PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reflect the position and the intensity of an illumination beam in a space where a picture display exists to a displayed picture by detecting illumination beam entering the picture display from an illumination light source, calculating the entering direction and intensity of the detected illumination beam, generating the picture of a virtual material based on the calculating result and displaying the generated picture. SOLUTION: An illumination beam detecting means 2 installed at the prescribed position of the picture display 1 detects the illumination beam 7 entering the display 1 from the illumination light source 6. Based on the sensor value of the detection result, an illumination beam information calculating means 3 calculates the direction and intensity (illumination beam information 4) of the beam 7 entering the display 1. The obtained direction and intensity (information 4) is inputted to a displayed picture generating means 5, which generates the display picture of a matter based on the direction and intensity (information 4) to display this generated display picture on the display 1.
