摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an optical device molded product having characteristics such as excellent formability, low cost, excellent heat resistance, low residual double refraction and low water absorption by using a thermoplastic silicone resin for the optical device. SOLUTION: The optical device consists of a resin compsn. containing a thermoplastic silicone resin. By introducing aromatic groups by 15 to 100 mol% into the substituents coupled to silicon atoms in the thermoplastic silicone resin, a higher refractive index can be obtd. Or, by introducing alkyl groups by 15 to 100 mol% into the substituents coupled to silicon atoms, the optical device having high transmissivity for light in a short wavelength region of <=400 nm can be obtd. Further, by introducing hydrogen atoms by 15 to 100 mol% into the substituents coupled to silicon in a short wavelength region of <=400 nm can be obtd.
