PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a garbage treatment machine in which a reduction in drying efficiency can be prevented while evaporation and dew formation of moisture are being repeated and a microwave energy can be applied to the garbage in an efficient manner. SOLUTION: The lower part of a circumferential wall of a processing container 1 is formed with a microwave radiating port 9 for radiating microwave from a microwave oscillator 10 into the treatment container 1, and the opening surface is closed by a microwave permeating material 11. The circumferential part of the treatment container 1 is enclosed by a thermal insulating enclosing wall 3 to form a temperature holding space 2 at an outer circumference of the treatment container, hot air after forced cooling performed at the microwave oscillator 10 is blown into the temperature holding space 2 so as to keep temperature in the treatment container 2 from its outer circumference.
