PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic document transfer device that makes a whole system miniaturized and lightweight and improves turning operability, and an image forming device provided with it. SOLUTION: An automatic document transfer device is used to transfer the set document to a prescribed position for discharging. The device is provided with a document mounting unit B1 for mounting and setting the document, a document feeding unit B2 for feeding the set document, a document transfer unit B3 for transferring the fed document, a document discharging unit B4 for discharging the document transferred from the document transfer unit B3, and hinge units 43 for turnably attaching the device on the system body. The document mounting unit B1, document feeding unit B2, document discharging unit B4, and hinge units 43 are connected and fixed by a support plate 45.
