PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To directly perform MSTB control, main axis control and I/O control without passing through a ladder processing part. SOLUTION: This numerical controller is provided with a direct control processing part 26 for directly operating the input and output control of the signal with the outside part by using a mechanical control I/F part when a command to directly operate the input and output of a signal with the outside part is issued at the time of the analysis of a working program, a memory 27 for storing an MSTB control module, a microprogram, or a main axial control module, a main axis direct control processing part 25 for directly operating main axis control by analyzing a main axis control instruction, and executing the main axis control module of the memory 27 when a command to directly control a main axis is issued at the time of the analysis in the same way, and an MSTB direct control processing part 24 for directly operating MSTB control by analyzing an MSTB control instruction, and executing the MSTB control module or microprogram of the memory 27 when a command to directly control an MSTB main axis is issued at the time of the analysis in the same way.
