<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate discharge between a pair of aerial discharge prevention electrodes in the case of difficulty of generating pulse discharge between another pair of the electrodes and prevent the generation of a dangerous aerial discharge by connecting a pair of aerial discharge prevention electrodes of specified dielectric strength in parallel with another pair of electrodes. SOLUTION: A material 4 to be treated such as a printed board is disposed between a pair of electrodes 2 in a liquid tank 1 filled with a liquid such as water. High voltage pulses are applied between a pair of electrodes 2 by a high voltage pulse generating section 3 to generate the pulse discharge. Then shock waves generated following the pulse discharge are transmitted to the material 4 to be treated through the liquid in the liquid tank 1, and crushing or separating is carried out all over the whole surface of the material 4 to be treated together with the thermal action generated following the pulse discharge. At that time, in a pair of the aerial discharge prevention electrodes 5 connected with in parallel in air with a pair of electrodes 2, the dielectric strength is larger than the dielectric strength between the electrodes 2 and smaller than the dielectric strength to objects between a pair of the electrodes 2 and other objects.</p> |
