<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use an automatic leveling device at a low cost for a long period of time by decreasing the driving frequency of an actuator and improve inadequate leveling during a travel. SOLUTION: This vehicle is provided with a headlamp vertically inclined with its optical axis L relative to a vehicle body by the drive of an actuator 10, a controller 16 controlling the drive of the actuator 10, a vehicle speed sensor 12, a pitch angle sensor 14 and a memory section 20 storing the pitch angle data detected by the pitch angle sensor 14. The controller 16 is an automatic leveling device controlling the actuator 10 so that the optical axis L has a fixed inclination relative to the road surface based on the detected pitch angle data, and it controls the actuator 10 at a fixed interval during a stop and controls the actuator 10 only once during a stable travel. When the pitch angle data, having the difference of a prescribed value or above from the pitch angle data at the stop in the memory section 20, continue during a travel, leveling is judged as inadequate and is stopped so that a turning travel and a slalom travel are prevented from being mistaken for the stable travel.</p> |
