PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attach a snap fastener by using an automatic machine and to efficiently produce clothes such as coveralls for babies in a beautiful appearance. SOLUTION: A belt-like cloth 2 is folded into two parallel to a longitudinal direction and front and back belt-like cloth pieces 2a and 2b facing each other are linearly sewn together at the middle part of the width direction. Then, to the double belt-like cloth piece on an inner side from a sewing line 3, the snaps 6 of a male or female type composed of the fitting member 4 of the male or female type and a rivet member 5 for fixing it to the cloth are attached with an appropriate interval in the longitudinal direction. On an outer side from the sewing line 3, a pair of the front and back belt-like cloth pieces 7a and 7b for seam allowance for clamping and sewing the cloth end edge 10a of the clothes 10 are formed.
