PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To withdraw circular knit fabric without occurrence of wrinkles on the fabric caused by folding by allowing the circular knit fabric to hang down from a spindle-form saddle in zigzag and exchanging the saddle hanging the knit fabric with another fresh saddle, when the knit fabric reaches a prescribed length and starting again the knitting. SOLUTION: When the circular knit fabric that is produced by a circular knitting machine 10 is withdrawn, the knitting section 14 is synchronized with the traverse device 40 in the knit fabric-withdrawing unit 20 that is set on its lower side, and a saddle 30 of the knit fabric-withdrawing unit 20 is intermittently traversed along the slide guide 44 to allow the knit fabric to hang down from the saddle 30 in zigzag. When the knit fabric reaches a prescribed length, the knitting section 14 and the traverse device 40 are allowed to stop, the knit fabric is cut at a prescribed position, and withdrawn together with the saddle 30, then, a fresh saddle is set and the knitting operation is allowed to start again.
