PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crane capable of transferring along a straight line connecting two points no matter, where the transfer position is, preventing the oscillation of a whole crane body during the transfer, and installing freely no matter what the condition is at an installation site. SOLUTION: A crane is provided with two rails for traveling 1 fixed on a building T, a traversing rail 2 arranged to cross the traveling rails 1 and on which a cargo transfer means 5 is arranged to traverse freely, running parts 3 to run along the traveling rails 1, respectively, and a traversing part 4 to traverse along the traversing rail 2. An end part of the traversing rail 2 is journalled to the travelling part 3a of one traveling rail 1 so that it can turn freely. The traveling part 3b of other traveling rail 1 is journalled to the traversing part 4 of the traversing rail 2.
