PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to increase the outside diameter of a spindle motor in order to assure the number of revolutions by adopting the constitution in which there are no component parts of an objective lens drive assembly in a region from an objective lens toward the spindle motor. SOLUTION: The spindle motor 101 which is mounted with an optical disk and is rotated and a lens holder 103, a focus drive coil 104, an elastic supporting member 111, an elastic supporting member fixing part and a magnetic circuit are arranged toward a direction which intersects orthogonally with a first straight part L1 running the center of the objective lens 102 and parts from the spindle motor 101 from the second straight part in contact with the outside diameter circle of the objective lens 102. There are no component parts of the objective lens drive assembly in the region heading the spindle motor 101 from the objective lens 102 and, therefore, the distance from the inner side of the optical pickup to the objective lens 102 may be set smaller than heretofore. The small-sized optical disk device increased in the outside diameter of the spindle motor 101 in order to assure the number of revolutions of the spindle motor 101 may be obtained.
