PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pressure control valve of a compact size capable of reducing a required current. SOLUTION: When a spool reaches a position S2, a poppet valve body is locked to the spool, and when the spool moves over the position S2, the poppet valve body is integrated with the spool. In strokes S0 to S2, only second spring 40 is deformed by pressing force of a movable element of a solenoid mechanism, and driving force F is regulated by a load on the second spring 40. In strokes S2 to S3 after electromagnetic force is increased to make the spool abut on the poppet valve body (the position S2), only a first spring 39 is deformed by the pressing force of the movable element, and the driving force F (by extension, electromagnetic force required for a solenoid) is regulated by only load on the first spring 39. Therefore, passing a current of high voltage to a solenoid or a solenoid of a large winding quantity which are required for a prior art become unnecessary, which enable downsizing of the device.
