PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration absorbing structural body and a vibration isolation supporting method capable of vibration isolation supporting of a deck part of a recording/reproducing device or the like by only using two vibration isolation supporting mechanism. SOLUTION: This vibration absorbing structural body, assembling a deck part in a chassis part for preventing transmission of a vibration generated from the deck part to the chassis part, holds an elastic rubber member 18 in a recessed part 16 provided in a support receiving seat 15 on the side of the chassis part, a vibration absorbing connection part 22 is provided by press fitting a shaft part 21 provided to protrude from a frame 20 on the side of the deck part in a shaft hole 19 of the elastic rubber member 18, a stepped screw 23 is inserted in a non-contact condition to a stepped hole 17 of the support receiving seat 15 on the side of the chassis part in the vicinity of the vibration absorbing connection part 22, and a vibration permitting part 26 is provided by screw fixing a screw part 24 of the stepped screw 23 to the frame 20 on the side of the deck part. The vibration absorbing structural body is vibration isolation supported by two points on a diagonal of the deck part.
