PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To mitigate the discontinuity of rigidity between a stiff proximal part and a soft distal part to prevent breakage and deformation in use by providing a medical catheter formed by a tubular member, and interposing a part formed by an elastic body and a linear part extended therefrom as one of components. SOLUTION: This catheter includes an adapter part 47 having a pressure introduction port 49 and a tubular member, the proximal part of which is a polyimide-made tubular member 46, the distal part thereof being polyamide elastomer-made tubular member 45. In the catheter, a guide wire tubular member 50 is arranged to be passed through the tubular member and an expanded body 44 at the tip thereof. A lumen for introducing pressure into the expanded body is formed by a space between the inside of the tubular members 45, 46 and the outside of the tubular member 50. At this time, between both tubular members 45, 46 in the lumen, a part formed by a coil-like elastic body 51 and a linear part 52 is interposed to eliminate discontinuity of rigidity. |
