PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a recess from arising on the base plate of a lower channel. SOLUTION: This slider of a seat is constituted of a lower channel 4 installed to extend in the longitudinal direction on the floor of a vehicle and having a U-shaped cross sectional shape and an upper channel 5 longitudinally movably inserted into the U-groove 40 of the lower channel 4 and having an inverted T-shaped cross sectional shape for supporting the slider. The upper channel 5 is supported by the lower channel 4 in the U-groove via a steel ball 6, the lower channel 4 has a pair of the right and left circular arc corner sections 423 with the curvature nearly equal to the curvature of the steel ball 6 formed at the lower section of the U-groove 40, and the upper channel 5 has an inclined plate 54a obliquely protruded to press the steel ball 6 toward the circular arc corner section 423.
