PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively absorb a shock by sufficiently increasing absorbing energy with the comparatively compact constitution by constituting a vehicular shock absorbing mechanism of oppositely arranged shock absorbing gate-shaped support part bodies and a front receiving stand installed on a top surface of these shock absorbing gate-shaped support part bodies. SOLUTION: In respective shock absorbing rubber 2, a buckling part 22 is formed in a slightly rear part of the intermediate part to form buckling at shock time. An initial load is taken largely by compression by the buckling, and when the buckling is started, the soft and large stroke action is obtained. A stroke for starting the buckling can be decided by preselecting a shape of a compression part. A front receiving stand 4 is arranged on a top surface of the respective shock absorbing rubber part bodies 2, 2, and an opening part 12 for receiving a connecting projection part 7 for the vehicle connection projected on a front face of a vehicle 10 traveling on a traveling rail 3 is arranged on the front receiving stand 4. A traveling speed condition can efficiently absorb expected collision energy by selecting physical properties of a material of the respective shock absorbing rubber 2.
