MATTE WET DEVELOPER AND PRODUCTION OF HIGHLY FANCY ARTICLE USING SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a wet developer by dispersing toner particles containing a matte pigment and to produce a highly fancy article by forming a matte image on the surface of a raw sheet to be printed using the developer. SOLUTION: Copolymer resin particles comprising a copolymer resin consisting of units of two or more monomers and containing a matte pigment are dispersed in an electrical insulating dispersion medium to obtain the objective wet developer. The differenceΔ(δp1-δd) between the SP valueδp1 of a homopolymer consisting of only units of a 1st monomer of the copolymer resin and the SP valueδd of the dispersion medium is >=1.0, the differenceΔ(δp2-δd) between the SP valueδp2 of a homopolymer consisting of only units of a 2nd monomer of the copolymer resin and the SP valueδd of the dispersion medium is <=1.0 and the differenceΔ(δp1-δp2) between the SP valuesδp1 andδp2 is >=0.5. The copolymer resin particles consist of a core part insoluble in the dispersion medium and a peripheral part enveloping the core part and soluble or swellable in the dispersion medium.
