摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for quantitatively analyzing substance to be analyzed in a converted state into ammonia after eliminating ammonia previously existing in a sample and to provide a reagent therefor. SOLUTION: After eliminating ammonia by making glutamine synthetase act in the presence of glutamic acid, adenosine triphosphate and a metal salt on ammonia in a sample containing a substance (or an enzyme) to be quantitatively analyzed and ammonia, a reaction terminating reagent containing a glutamine synthetase inhibitor selected from methionine sulfoximine or methionine sulfone is added to terminate glutamine synthetase reaction, and then a reagent containing an enzyme acting on the substance to be quantitatively analyzed or a substrate for an enzyme to be quantitatively analyzed is made to act to quantitatively analyzing the formed substance directly or in an enzymatically converted state into other substance.
