PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To linearly change a blow off temperature relating to a change of preset temperature by an occupant, in an air conditioner for a vehicle by automatic air conditioning of resistance type without using an air conditioning electronic control device. SOLUTION: This air conditioner is provided with a heating heat exchanger for heating air by warm water, a temperature adjusting means for adjusting heating amount of air by this heat exchange, a drive means 19b for driving this temperature adjusting means, a drive amount detection means 44 changing a resistance value in accordance with drive amount of the temperature adjusting means by the drive means 19b, and a temperature setting means 43 for changing a resistance value in accordance with a preset temperature set by an occupant, it makes a change characteristic of the resistance value of the temperature setting means 43 correspond to a change characteristic of non-linear type of blow off temperature relating to the drive amount of the temperature adjusting means by the drive means 19b.
