PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form an ink-repellent resin film on the nozzle opening surface of an ink-jet recording head with little risk of intrusion into the nozzle, a homogeneous thick film thickness, and excellent durability. SOLUTION: An ink-repellent resin film is formed by a step of forming an ink-repellent resin solution layer of a certain amount corresponding to the ink-repellent resin film by a recess formed on a block 55 and a solution container 52 having a hole on the bottom, horizontally movable on the block 55, a step of taking out the solution layer onto a transfer medium 51, a step of transferring the solution layer onto the nozzle opening surface of a recording head 10 after a predetermined waiting time, a drying step, and a heat treatment step. The film thickness can be controlled by the depth of the recess and the concentration of the ink-repellent resin solution. Intrusion into the nozzle can be controlled by the waiting time before transfer and the concentration of the ink-repellent resin solution.
