PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device for plate bricks in sliding nozzle device which is relatively easy in the tightening in the axial direction, compact in forming the device itself, and difficult to loosen after tightened once. SOLUTION: A cotter mechanism comprising two operating parts 6-1, 6-2 having inclined surfaces 61, 62 opposite to each other and one part to be operated 7 having inclined surfaces 71, 72 corresponding to the inclined surfaces of the operating parts is provided between a side surface 23 in the width direction of a plate brick 2 and a riser wall 14 on a long side of a metal frame. Each cotter mechanism presses the part to be operated against the plate brick 2 side by driving two operating parts in the direction opposite to each other on the long side.
