PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a curl cordless telephone system where an entire operating time of a key system can be extended by saving power of a battery in a host device during a power failure. SOLUTION: A user sets power saving control by functions for each curl cordless telephone set in advance by a system setting mode by a software program of a CPU 13 and writes power saving control setting to a memory 11 in the unit of function bits. The CPU 13 of a host device 1 analyzes information from a power failure monitor circuit 14 and transmits control information not restricting radio start to all extensions when no power failure occurs, generates power saving control information on the basis of setting data of the memory 11 on the occurrence of a power failure and transmits the information to curl cordless telephone master sets 2, 5. A CPU 25 of the curl cordless telephone master set 2 discriminates permission/inhibition of power saving control in response to the control information.
