<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure high adsorption performance and desorption performance by a simple and inexpensive constitution by a method wherein an adsorbent is constituted by depositing xerogel having fine pores on the surface of a support, and the adsorbent is used as an adsorbent for steam. SOLUTION: An adsorbent is constituted by depositing xerogel having fine pores on the surface of a support having a comparatively large surface area. In this xerogel, a capillary condensation phenomenon is generated in many fine pores following its cooling, a great amount of steam can be adsorbed, and at the same time water content adsorbed in the condensed state in the pores can be evaporated following its heating, released outside, and can be desorbed. Then, a humidity adjuster Z1 is equipped with a ventilation flue 3 for introducing air to be dehumidified (moist air) into a casing 1, and a ventilation flue 4 for introducing air to be humidified (dry air) are jointly provided, and a dehumidifying means 6 provided with the adsorbent is arranged extending over between both ventilation flues 3, 4.</p> |
