PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive card reader whose carrying body is hardly worn out, and kept dirty-free. SOLUTION: This reader is provided with a base 1 on which a carrying path 7 for carrying a card 6, a header 16 which reads the card 6 and writes, a carrying body 19 carrying the card 6 and a controlling part. The controlling part moves the body 19 only for a prescribed distance after the card 6 is read, written and pulled out. Thus, a part where the carrying body is used is replaced for a new one at every operation (movement, etc., when the card is loaded and unloaded). Consequently, the carrying body is hardly worn out. |
