PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator in which an opening or closing door is formed into a substantially L-shaped section with its extended portion protruded at a rear side part, a cavity for storing the extended portion is formed at a side part of a body, visibility for foods is increased to cause their loading or unloading to be facilitated, the opening or closing door is provided with a through-pass hole for the foods to be frequently loaded or unloaded, an auxiliary door for opening or closing the through-pass hole is provided, leakage of cold air is restricted to enable energy saving to be realized. SOLUTION: In a refrigerator in which an inner side of a body 1 is divided into upper and lower segments by a partition wall 2 to form some storing chambers 3, 4 and 5, i.e., a refrigerator chamber, a freezer chamber and a vegetable chamber, an opening or closing door 7 for opening or closing the opening part is pivotally supported by supporting shafts 6 arranged at an upper side and a lower side of the front side opening of the storing chamber, the other side of the opening or closing door 7 is provided with an extended part 8 to form the opening or closing door 7 having a substantially L-shaped section, and the inner circumferential edge and the extremity end are formed with an indentation 9 for storing opposed receiving surfaces 9a, 9b.
