PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an insect pest-controlling device capable of controlling only insect pests without polluting water by introducing the insect pest- containing treating water of a reservoir or like into a treating tank by an introducing means, generating ultrasonic waves in the treating tank to efficiently kill the insect pests, and then returning the dead bodies of the insect pests to the reservoir or the like by a discharging means. SOLUTION: This device for controlling insect pests comprises an ultrasonic wave element 6 for generating ultrasonic waves, a treating tank 2 in which the ultrasonic wave element 6 is built, an introducing means 1 for introducing insect pest-introducing water from the reservoir into a treating tank 2, and a discharging means for returning the treated water from the treating tank 2 to the reservoir. The device for controlling insect pests is used by introducing the insect pest-introducing water from the reservoir or the like into the treating tank 2 by the introducing means 1, generating ultrasonic waves in the treating tank 2 to efficiently kill the insect pests, and then returning the treated water together with the dead bodies of the insect pests to the reservoir or the like.
