<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use an automatic leveling device over a long period at a low cost by decreasing the driving frequency of an actuator and improve inadequate automatic leveling at the time of a start. SOLUTION: This vehicle is provided with a headlamp vertically inclined with its optical axis L relative to a vehicle body by the drive of an actuator 10, a vehicle speed detection sensor 12 detecting the speed of a vehicle, a pitch angle detection sensor 14 detecting the pitch angle of the vehicle, a memory section 20 storing multiple pitch angle data detected by the pitch angle detection sensor 14, and a controller 16 controlling the drive of the actuator 10. The controller 16 is an automatic leveling device controlling the drive of the actuator 10 so that the optical axis L of the headlamp is invariably set to a fixed inclined state relative to the road surface based on the detected pitch angle data. The controller 16 controls the drive of the actuator 10 at a fixed interval while the vehicle is stopped, and it controls the drive of the actuator 10 based on the pitch angle data at the prescribed time before the vehicle speed sensor 12 detects a start at the time of the start to avoid the erroneous leveling caused by the sinking of the vehicle at the time of the start.</p> |
