PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stator which fully exhibits the advantages of employing a split core type stator and enables further size reduction and performance improvement. SOLUTION: The core of a split core type stator of a dynamoelectric machine is composed of a plurality of tooth 2 cores attached to an annular yoke part 1. A plurality of engagement grooves 3A formed in the inner circumferential surface of the annular yoke part 1 are longer in the circumferential direction of the annular yoke part 1. The engagement end part 4A of the tooth 2 is engaged with the engagement groove 3. The length of the engagement end 4A in the circumferential direction of the annular yoke part 1 is set larger than the width of the tooth 2. With this constitution, since the area of the junctions between the annular yoke part 1 and the tooth parts 2 is increased, the increase in magnetic reluctance produced by the gaps existing between junction surfaces can be suppressed. As a result, the advantages of employing the divided core type stator positively can be given full play, and the performance improvement and the size/weight reduction can be fully realized.
