PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dielectric barrier discharge lamp capable of stably discharging and having high light emitting efficiency. SOLUTION: This discharge lamp includes a discharge container 1 filled with discharge gas for forming excimer molecules by dielectric barrier discharge. At least a part of the discharge container 1 serves as a dielectric for the dielectric barrier discharge and is light-transmissive (2, 3) to light radiated from the excimer molecules. One of electrodes 4, 5 is provided on at least a part of the light-transmissive parts (2, 3). In this case, the electrodes 4, 5 comprise punched metal plates.
