PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device rapidly responding to a surface temp. of a heating/fixing rotary body, precisely detecting the surface temp. of the heating/fixing rotary body and enhancing the surface temp. stability of the heating/fixing rotary body. SOLUTION: This image forming device is constituted of a non-contact type temp. sensor 5 for detecting the surface temp. of the fixing rotary body 2 and provided not in contact with the surface of the fixing rotary body 2, a sensor signal input means 51 inputting a temp. signal outputted by the non-contact type temp. sensor 5 according to the surface temp. of the fixing rotary body 2, a zero-cross detection means 22 performing zero-cross detection of a frequency of a commercial AC source E and generating a zero-cross signal and a controller 23. Thus, the heating of the fixing rotary body 2 by heating means 4a, 4b is controlled based on the temp. signal inputted by the sensor signal input means 51 and the zero-cross signal generated by the zero-cross detection means 22.
