PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To always maintain stable quality by determining the variable density, thin spot, color drift or the like of ink in a printed sheet in terms of numerical value using a color distinguishing sensor or the like and comparing the numerical value data with a reference value and generating an alarm or actuating an automatic regulating valve when a deviation value is higher than a set value. SOLUTION: Data of a printed sample sheet is detected, in lieu of a printed sheet 9, by a color distinguishing sensor 1, and digital data showing a numerical value by an amplifier 2 is set as a reference value. During a printing operation by a printing press 10 to which ink is supplied through an ink circulation line 11, data in the printed sheet 9 is likewise detected using a color distinguishing sheet 1 and the detected data is compared to the previously set reference value. When the deviation value determined by comparison is higher than the set value, an alarm 3 is actuated or automatic adjusting values 5, 6 for adjusting water or ink supplies are controlled. Further, the actually printed results are directly detected as described and thereby ink density is controlled. Thus it is possible to always maintain the print quality stably. |
