PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a wall body having high water stop performance by gripping the lower end of a long size material by a gripping means arranged on the lower end of a pipe body. SOLUTION: A lower side wedge 44 and an upper side wedge frame 43 are arranged in a prescribed height of a lower end part of lip groove shape steel 30. The upper end of a steel pipe 41 is gripped and hung up by a gripping part 40 of a press-in device, the steel pipe 41 is hund down, and face plates 42, 42 are allowed to abut to the upper side wedge frame 43. Next, when applying downward force to the upper end of the steel pipe 41 as an arrow P1 by the press-in device, the force is transmitted to the upper side wedge frame 43, and force as an arrow P3 is transmitted to the lip groove shape steel 30 from the upper side wedge frame 43. Compressive stress acts only on a section L up to the lower side wedge 44 from a surface of the ground 50 in the lip groove shape steel 30 by this force, and since a bucking span of the lip groove shape steel 30 is remarkably shortened than one extending to the total length of a conventional long size member, buckling of the lip groove shape steel at driving time can be prevented.
