PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic camera device that obtains a proper exposure over an entire picture by controlling a speed of an electronic shutter in the unit of pixels in response to an incident luminous quantity under a circumstance where an object is unclear such as back light or indoor outdoor simultaneous photographing. SOLUTION: An incident luminous quantity analysis circuit 8 analyzes the incident luminous quantity of a video signal outputted from a MOS solid-state imaging device 3 via a digital signal processing circuit 6, a timing controller 7 controls a speed of an electronic shutter of the MOS solid-state imaging device 3 so as to be short for pixels whose luminous quantity is saturated (or not lower than a threshold) and to be long for other pixels in this electronic camera.
