PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a portable electronic equipment to be improved in shock protecting function, portability, and controllability. SOLUTION: A portable electronic equipment is equipped with a case 1, formed as a rectangular parallelepiped and control panels 3 and 4 located on its front side and buffer member members 2 which are formed of elastic material, so as to protect the case 1 against external shocks and provided and fixed to the side faces 5 so as to cover the side faces 5 and their corners 6 joined continuously to other faces. A pair of a lower and an upper projection, 7 and 7, which are of prescribed thickness and provided in each of the buffer members 7 in one piece protruding outward on a part that covers the side face 5 and its corner 6 joined continuously to the surfaces and base of the case 1 and a recess 8 which is curved inward to be recessed is provided between the buffer members 7 are provided. An operator's hands are respectively brought into close contact with the recesses 8 provided in the buffer members 2 to support the case 1 by the side faces 5 for operating the panels 3 and 4.
