PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a panel type speaker that is suitable for a multi-channel speaker in common use for a display screen and made small in size when not in use so as to provide convenience for storage and transportation. SOLUTION: This panel type speaker adopts a vibration mode (DM) system consisting of an exciter including a magnetic circuit and a voice coil and a flat diaphragm excited by the exciter. Then the flat diaphragm is divided into a plurality of parts P1, P2, P3 including respective specific exciters E1, E2, E3 and a plurality of the parts P1, P2, P3 are fitted to a flexible thin plate or sheet S forming the diaphragm at a proper interval W.
