PURPOSE:To improve the catching durability of an optical disk hub by subjecting the surface of a magnet clamping metallic plate to the ceramic coating treatment. CONSTITUTION:An optical disk hub consists of a metallic plate 2 which is attracted by a magnet provided to a disk table of a disk rotary driver and a ring-shaped member 3 which is used for attachment of the plate 2 to a disk substrate. The plate 2 is oibtained by forming a magnetic thin metallic plate into a disk shape and has a circular spindle hole 4 at center part for engagement with a center spindle. Then the plate 2 is subjected to the ceramic treatment coating so that a ceramic coating film having high hardness and high wear resistance is formed on the surface of the plate 2. Thus the catching durability of the optical disk hub is improved. |
