摘要 PURPOSE:To accurately and quickly detect whether or not such tread abnormality as tire flat, etc., exists on a railcar wheel without human intervention at every bogie of a railcar. CONSTITUTION:After high-frequency radio waves transmitted from a railcar number reading antenna 4 are received by means of an ID tag 3 fitted to a railcar 1, the radio waves are reflected on the antenna 4 after modulating the radio waves by the identifying information signal of the railcar 1 and the antenna 4 receives the modulated radio waves. By demodulating and amplifying the received signals by means of an RF source 5 and decoding the received signals by means of a reader, the number and type of the railcar 1 are specified. On the other hand, an incoming and outgoing detecting sensors 8 and 9 respectively detect the incoming and outgoing of wheels and the bogie existing in a measurement section is specified based on the detecting signals of the sensors 8 and 9. When abnormality exists on the tread of either the front or rear wheel of the bogie, impact detecting sensors 12 and 13 detect the abnormality and input their detecting outputs to a CPU 6b. The CPU 6b prepares analysis data about the wheel tread for each bogie. The analysis data are transmitted to a management section through an RS switch, MODEM 6p, and telephone line 14.
