In the wheel (I), the part between the axle hole of the disc and the rim is formed as a blind sheet without holes. (I) is prepd. by injection pressing or mould injection pressing of a fibre-reinforced thermoplast. Pref. the part between axle hole of disc part and rim part is similarly formed as a blind sheet except for holes for screw bolts. USE/ADVANTAGE - Wheels for motorcars, buses, lorries, railway and underground railway vehicles, linear motor vehicles, aircraft, go-carts for golf courses, etc. (I) have lower wt. than rustless steel components, are cheaper than light metal alloy components, are suitable for consistent mass prodn., and have good mechanical properties through omission of decorative holes, such as impact strength, flexural strength, stiffness, and resistance to heat, fatigue, and creep. |
