A multilayer-coated powder, wherein at least one layer of the multilayer comprises a metal hydroxide film or a metal oxide film formed by hydrolysis of a metal alkoxide having thereon a coating film comprising a metal hydroxide film or a metal oxide film formed by a reaction of a metal salt in an aqueous solution. 2. A process for producing a multilayer-coated powder, which comprises forming a metal hydroxide film or a metal oxide film as at least one layer of a multilayered film by hydrolysis of a metal alkoxide; and forming thereon a coating film of a metal hydroxide film or a metal oxide film by a reaction of a metal salt in an aqueous solution. 3. The process for producing a multilayer-coated powder according to claim 2, wherein the metal hydroxide film or the metal oxide film is formed by the hydrolysis of a metal alkoxide, and then heated. 4. The process for producing a multilayer-coated powder according to claim 4 or 5, wherein the metal hydroxide film or the metal oxide film is formed by the reaction of a metal salt in an aqueous solution, and then heated.
