摘要 PURPOSE: In many processes employing acid-catalysis, almost all of organic and/or inorganic acid, which is used as a catalyst, remain in product mixture and lead to undesirable side-reaction. Provided is a method for the removal of organic and/or inorganic acids from splitting product phase when aralkyl hydroperoxide is splitted by acid-catalysis to prepare phenol. CONSTITUTION: A method comprises the following steps of: extracting splitting product phase with one or more extractants; applying the extracted organic phase to a first ion-exchange resin; distilling the organic phase one or more times to obtain one or more aqueous phases comprising one or more organic acids and water; and applying the aqueous phases to a second ion-exchange resin. The method is characterized by adding alkali phenol stream to splitting product phase before the extracting step. This alkali phenol stream neutralizes the remaining acid and enables to extract the acid as their salt from the organic phase. The method removes organic acid easily from the aqueous phase with low cost by using less ion-exchange resins. Consequently, organic and/or inorganic acid which is used as a catalyst in splitting aralkyl hydroperoxide, particularly qumene hydroperoxide can be easily removed from the product phase.
