PURPOSE: A washing machine is provided to enhance washing capacity, reduce stains from detergent and shorten time for washing by increasing solubility of detergent without damaging laundry. CONSTITUTION: A washing machine includes a receiving tank(17), a wash and dry tank(19), and a motor(22). The receiving tank(17) contains the wash and dry tank(19) as a rotator. The motor rotates the wash and dry tank(19) with a V belt(23) and a retardation device(24). A water supply valve(25) supplies water into the wash and dry tank(19). A water level detector(26) detects the water level in the receiving tank(17). A drain valve(27) drains water from the receiving tank(17). A detergent path(28) directly throws detergent between the wash and dry tank(19) and the receiving tank(17) from under a round-type balancer(29) that reduces vibration of drying procedure. A controller(30) controls the motor(22), the water supply valve(25) and the drain valve(27), etc., and makes detergent thrown between the wash and dry tank(19) and the receiving tank(17) dissolved by agitation effect between the outer part of the wash and dry tank(19) and the receiving tank(17) by rotating the wash and dry tank(19) when water is supplied.
