Hot rolled material take-up equipment which comprises a plurality of take-up machines (24, 26) arranged downstream of a hot finishing rolling mill, a shear (27) provided upstream of pinch rolls (23) of the "upstreammost" take-up machine (24), and a strip threading device (28) provided between the shear and the "upstreammost" pinch rolls for preventing rising of a strip. The strip threading device comprises a guide device for limiting a rising level of the strip or an airflow suction type strip threading device for sucking the strip with an air flow. Also, the plurality of take-up machines comprise down coilers or carousel type reels having two take-up drums (not shown).
