<p>PURPOSE: A method of treating razor blade cutting edges with a thin, well adhered coating is provided to improve the initial cutting force effects. CONSTITUTION: A method of forming a polyfluorocarbon coating on a razor blade cutting edge comprises the steps of: coating a razor blade cutting edge with a dispersion of polyfluorocarbon in a dispersing medium, heating the coating sufficiently to adhere the polyfluorocarbon to the blade edge; and treating the blade edge with a solvent to partially remove the coating.</p> |
