PURPOSE: A PMC(port manager controller) for accessing a plurality of function modules is provided to process access requests more than one at one time, adapt itself dynamically to a load, and rearrange the assess requests for effectively using available bandwidth so that it can reduce a waiting time and enhance a performance of a computing or communicating system. CONSTITUTION: A PMC(200) comprises a data validation logic(301), a priority allocation logic(303), an access grant logic(305), a direction & data type control logic(307), and a system interface core logic(309). The system interface core logic(309) supplies an interface between a host system(130) and the PMC(200), and access the host system(130) via a uni-direction control link(321), a bi-direction control link(322) and a uni-direction address link(323). The uni-direction control link(321) can include one more individual control links. In the case that the host system is a system memory, the control link has the functions of a chip select, a write enable, a read/write operation indication and an output enable. The bi-direction control link(322) is used for a data communication during a write or a read operation.
