摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a fuel consumption rate by a method wherein an engine and a continuously variable transmission are controlled such that the engine is operated at the target number of revolutions of an engine to maximize an integrated efficiency obtained by adding the power transmission efficiency of the continuously variable transmission to the thermal efficiency of an engine. SOLUTION: A fundamental control part 34 and a maximum efficiency control part 35 compute the number of revolutions of an engine and a change gear ratio based on input signals from an accelerator operation amount sensor 12, a brake operation amount sensor 13, the output number of revolutions sensor 15, a shift lever position sensor, an engine horse power computing part 31, an HMT change gear ratio computing part 32, and an HMT operation mode computing part 33. A maximum efficiency control part 35 computers the number of revolutions of engine and a change gear ratio at which integrated efficiency obtained through combination of the thermal efficiency of the engine 1 and the power transmission efficiency of an HMT 2 is maximized. This constitution, since operation of the engine 1 is controlled such that the integrated efficiency is maximized, improves the fuel consumption efficiency of a vehicle.</p>
